I have self diagnosed myself with burn out... which accounts for a lot of how I have been feeling the past few weeks! Consequently I am not going to write in this blog nor consider developmental stuff (other than fun crochet) for a week or so. I need to just chill out and hope that I start to feel better in a few days. At least I have identified what it is and thus I can start making it better again. I am not going to beat myself up over not getting stuff done but instead give myself a mental break :)
I have a tension headache which is lurking at the back of my head today. I can feel how sore the muscles are on the back of my head.

Wedding related stuff
Been busy with wedding related stuff today... I have:
1. Had a first fitting with my bridesmaid for her dress (she looks stunning)
2. Arranged fittings for the 2nd fitting for her and a 1st fitting for my maid of honour
3. Went for a nosy in the lingerie shop
4. Spoke to the reverend and booked in for a meeting with him in a couple of weeks
5. Spoken to a friend about making jewllery for my bridesmaids
6. Arranged for take toppers to be made
7. Figured out how to display the cakes
The BF rang me on his way home to ask me wedding related questions but I said I was questionned out!! I got asked so many by the dress maker and the reverend told me so many things I need to be having a think about!
After that I went for a long bath to relax! My parents have touched down in Malta for a weeks holiday so I am trying to figure out what to do with my week without them!

Tens
The other I trialed the tens machine I have borrowed from my chiropractor... really I should have used it yesterday as today was the aftermath!! On Sunday we went to Newcastle to amend our wedding list. We then went in the castle keep (which is warren full of staircases) and decided that because the bus tours were not on that we would do a massive walk down by the river. Half way we were flagging and I was in lots of pain but we couldn't find a pub with seats anywhere! I have now broken myself and have been paying for it ever since.
This was the view from the top of the castle keep
I have managed to sort out the fish tank pump which had stopped and I also blinged up their tank with plants.
Crafty wise I had to put things on hold as I keep going wrong so I figured that I needed a few days off, but I seem to have got over that now. There just seems to be too much going on at the moment for me to keep up with as well so I haven't managed much. But here is my granny blanket progress :D
I went to see Fame last night which was amazing! I randomly saw my florist there too so I had a good natter with her in the break. Need to persuade the BF to come to Evita with me when they come on their UK tour later this year.

No more pain
My knee has finally stopped hurting! It has been weeks of me being in pain and I feel like a new woman now it has gone. I still can't go too far but I can do my normal day without pain :)
I trimmed the back hedge for the first time ever the other day, I was very impressed as it hardly looked wobbly at all. I also tried to do the lawn but the settings on the lawnmower need changing and my skills do not extend that far!
Managed to get Bramble bunny back outside (over wintering inside due to arthritis) so I have been able to reclaim my utility room. So no more washing hanging around in the dining room.
Been out for a couple of good dog walks. The first was at Knaresbrough with my parents which was so beautiful. We even has a roe deer run out right in front of us which was amazing and we found a geocache (amazing as my phone died so we didn't know exactly where to look), then we decamped to the pub :)
This picture shows where the deer ran in front of us...
This was today's dog walk, 2 minutes drive from my house is the longest, straightest lane ever! I didn't manage to get all the way along it but I did find a field full of horses. There just seems so much around the house that needs doing at the moment that I am not really getting to do any development stuff, especially when we have guests staying! I am pretty much doing everything around the house by myself and it is taking forever... a big house and garden seemed like such a good idea!

Nunnington Hall
Been doing pooh sticks today at Nunnington Hall as the best friend was visiting which was great fun, I also made wishes on the wishing tree...
And played dress up with various 1930's stuff... this was the most flattering picture lol
I have also been to a conservation talk, done a presentation on firework phobias at my local vets - though no one turned up! (still did it to an interested vet and vet nurse... which was good practice) and sorted out a few wedding bits and pieces. The tiara turned up but it is not right so that is going to have to go back which is annoying!

Jury Duty!
Nothing in my life ever runs smoothly lol, it all works out in the end but I have to jump through endless hoops to make it happen. One of my bridesmaids got a letter through the post yesterday to ask her to do jury duty over the wedding! Of all the bad timings! So I am trying to get a letter to her ASAP asking them to postpone it till after the wedding.
We went to Brimham Rocks yesterday and did some geocaching, the dog loved it but I realised how hard they are to find!! This is the BF pretending to be a mountain goat.
Not much to really report from a developmental point of view, but I have lots planned for the coming week! Although I do seem to be fulfilling my new year resolution (from last year) which was to get books out of the library to read on random subjects. So far I have done badgers and I am now learning all about Geisha's.
