The cold that lasted a month...

I have now had this cold almost a month!! It settled on my chest the past few days which hasn't been much fun. I woke up this morning feeling a bit better (less hacking and spluttering) only to find that the dog is poorly! She is now snuggled under a crochet blanket on the sofa but is still shaking. Poor little thing, she doesn't make a good patient though, she woofed at me when she wanted to come in from the garden because poorly Tess dogs just cannot be expected to push open a door lol

Had the final meeting with the venue yesterday! And today was the final meeting with the florists, then I had a final conversation with the venue decorator as I didn't want to drive all the way out to her house. 

This week is going to be enforced cold recovery, going to rest for today and then from tomorrow the house is going to get it's butt kicked as I have my hen weekend starting on Friday. I cannot wait, I feel like a child. I even found a little bo peep outfit and mum has made the dog a sheep outfit. My dad has been roped in to play Gretel (mum has made him a wig and I am determined to get him to wear a bra stuffed with socks :p )

Managed to ride my bike all the way to the library over the weekend without falling off :D (it will happen eventually!). I was less out of breath than the bf lol. 

Wedding preparations

This is a very quick pictorial update of things. This is me with my make up, tiara and dress on, not long till the big day now! :) 

Here is some of the wedding place names I have been working on for the tables... lots still to do (and somehow I thought I would be able to get most things finished off today!)

And this is my progress with my kings and queens cross stitch which I have been doing forever now but never really seem to get any further with!

Easter weekend

Have had a lovely Easter weekend, on the Friday we went wedding shopping in York and picked up a few bits and pieces. We ended up in a new Byron restaurant for lunch, which it turns out had only opened that day. Very scrummy hamburgers! :) Then in the evening we went to Boroughbridge for dinner with my parents and then out on a free ghostwalk run by the local amature dramatics society.

Saturday we took our mothers out for a late mothers day treat. First for a pub lunch and then around Richmond to do a treasure trail which ended with me presenting them with some chocolate eggs as a prize. 

Sunday I went to church and heard the second lot of banns being read and then finished digging over the veg patch. Today I went to see a friend and her little son which was lovely. 

I have yet another busy week coming up :)

Bike

Picked up my new bike today complete with basket at the front for the puppy dog!

I also had my first behavioural consult today which went fantastic. A poor lady with a cat which was urinating outside the litter box. I think I have got to the bottom of it though so hopefully it will have a happy ending :)

I have written cheques for most of the wedding stuff so at least everything is paid for. I am now trying to concentrate on the name tags for people. I think next week I need to have a wedding day where I can get loads of stuff sorted and out of the way. At my hen do I am playing Little Bo Peep. I am intending on dressing the puppy dog up as a sheep :)

Our 1800 seeds have arrived for the veg plot so I have been digging over the beds so we can plant them at the weekend. 

I am still recovering from that horrible cold. I am fine when still but I feel all blocked up and it is slightly hard to breath when I start moving around. Feeling much better about things generally though and I am trying not to stress out about anything and just enjoy the wedding preparations!

Banns

Went to church today and heard our 1st set of banns being read, I am going to go each week as we only have three Sundays before the wedding and without two more sets of banns being read we are not allowed to get married! I was so excited to hear them but also surprised as he read them out first before anything else so it caught my unawares!!

I am almost better again after my horrible cold, the BF is also on the mend from his chest infection. We have had almost two weeks where we have not spent any quality time together and half the time we were not even in the same bed as one or the other was feeling particularly poorly. 

Packed my best friend onto the bus this morning, she had been up for her 1st dress fitting. She looked stunning and I can't wait for the big day!! I also sorted out the 2nd bridesmaid dress fittings and have an appointment for my dress to be fitted in a couple of weeks. Oh and I got my wedding bra sorted (it has to be sewn into my gown so I delivered it straight to the wedding shop). 

My hen do is coming up soon, so I am sorting stuff out for that. I don't know what I am doing on the Saturday but the snippets that I've heard all sound amazing. I am trying to sort out the Friday night where I am hosting a murder mystery evening based on Disney characters! Have tonnes of stuff to buy for the weekend though so have a big shopping trip at the end of the week

I have managed to chill out big time the last few days, I am resisting binge eating and am feeling very positive and happy with my life which is great. I feel positive for the first time in a long time!!

Paris

Just got back from hen party 1 (a couple of days in Paris), it was amazing and I can't wait to go back again as there was just so much to do!

I also got infected by some Paris person with a cold so I am now feeling rubbish and trying to avoid the masses of wedding preparation that I need to do over the next couple of weeks. 

I have lost another 2lbs now so I am feeling good about that. I have another appointment to see the dr about my binge eating and perfectionism tomorrow. I have been feeling better about stuff recently though. Still a long way to go but I am managing myself much better. I am glad I have told my mum and the fiance so they can give me good advice when I start getting silly about stuff. 

I am back

I have returned after my self imposed few days away trying to get my head sorted. I am feeling much better now (apart from the fact that I had a filling this morning so my head and jaws hurt lol) so I decided to blog again. 

I would like to share my very secret life that I have hidden under the carpet for the last umpteen years... I am a binge eater. There it is out!! I have said it! I am a perfectionist about my life (hence the need for this blog to show myself that I am achieving) and when things go wrong, and they do all the time because I cannot live up to my own unrealistic expectations of myself. I respond by eating. So I am doing an online CTB course and trying to get my head sorted!

The wedding planning is going well. My tiara has arrived (and there is nothing wrong with it this time), we have had a meeting with the reverend (I am very excited about this as the service is going to be sooo lovely!) and we had our wedding shoot. Here are some photos!

Crafting wise I have finished my bag off and started a new granny blanket - here it is being modeled by Tess (this is an easy one that doesn't involve me having to think about things!!)

Other than this Martin has had his Stag party at Doncaster races and he had a really great time. I had a bit more of a boring weekend, mum and I went on a literary talk but it wasn't really very good and then town was packed and we couldn't find what it was we were looking for in town. But this weekend I am off to Paris for my first hen do (why have just the one when you can have 2?!!) so I don't think I will be blogging on here until I get back.
