Quick update in a crazy world

All I seem to do at the moment is chase my tail!! Loving life though and thoroughly enjoying myself - married life obviously suits me. I have lots of things to update.

Firstly I didn't get that hobbycraft job which I was a little dissapointed with but then I started getting calls from more dog training clients so that side of things seems to be taking off! I have been paid £40 for basic puppy mouthing advice which I have loved as it is money for peanuts (not like the more difficult behaviours I see) - also it involves getting to meet some lovely dogs, however I do have scars on my arms now from an overly mouthy retriever.

I have some minimoon photos to share, we had a Beatrix Potter rabbit theme for the wedding (due to my love of fluffy bunnies) and cottage we stayed in used to be owned by her! Which was a lovely extra and I can't believe I found it!!

Rose Castle Cottage - yup it was in the middle of nowhere

This was the inside of the cottage, it only had one electric point we were allowed to use and was heated by 'The Muncher' (as pictured here!)

This was the view of Tarn Hows just three minutes walk from the door of the cottage

We ate food (in the hamper we were given by my brother during the wedding)

Drank lots (we had funny little edible flowers than opened when you put them in water)

Drove boats

Walked

And took random selfies

Since getting back I have been attempting to get the house in order, it is slowly getting there!! Today has been all about the garden, weeding, trimming hedges and mowing the lawn. I just seem so busy at the moment with extra stuff that I am not getting the normal house work done!

The extension is going up well! Much quicker than I expected, I even helped lay a brick into the wall (because really it needed to be done!). This is my photographical evidence!

Today we went for a walk around Harewood House with the dog, by the end of it she was really flagging, though in her defence it was about 4 miles and she walked further than us as she was chasing after butterflies. I really need to work at getting her fitness back up again. I am off to the Highlands next weekend with her so she will have to work on getting fit quickly!!

Married woman

Well I am now a married woman!! But I will tell the pictorial story when I get all my wedding photos through!! Was an utterly amazing day though :)

This is a sneak peak... everyone needs a wedding selfie lol

Before the wedding we went on a theatre tour in York... this is possibly the only time I shall ever be on stage lol

Managed to finish one of my crochet blankets :D The demon puppy dog is here modelling it for me. It was very useful for the honeymoon before the log fire had got going.

The moment we got back from honeymoon the work on the extension started (even though our neighbour who was happy on Wendesday decided to kick off... we think we have placated him!!). I am slightly nervous about having the house knocked about!! The dog is very confused about why there is a massive trench in the ground. Yesterday they dug the foundations out and had them OK'd by the building inspectors. Today is the waste pipe and tomorrow the concrete is being laid. I can't believe how quickly things are progressing!

Had an interview yesterday with Hobbycraft, we had to do a team building exercise and this is what my team came up with :) It was great fun, not like an interview at all. Just hope that I get it :)

Less than a week...

Until I am a married woman!! There is still so much left to do!! I am over 1/2 way with the favours, the seating plan still needs work, there are at least two place names for me to finish off and I am only 1/2 way through the table names. Still I am just plodding away at stuff (and enjoying myself at the same time!). On top of all that I need to get the house and the garden ready for the big day. I am of course ignoring the fact that I have a house extension starting in just over a week (because getting married alone is just not enough!!).

I have had my facial and found a lovely new woman to do my eyebrows. This afternoon I am booked in for my first ever spray tan! (hoping I don't look like Ross off friends afterwards!). Then off out with a friend for dinner and cocktails. Over the weekend we will be doing last minute wedding prep and clearing out the garage so the work men can get started.

This is how I have been getting on with my granny squares. I should really get the blanket out and start attaching them.

Hopefully I will get another blog in before the big day but we will have to wait and see!!

Hen Party

Enforced cold getting better worked :D I need to remember in future that I need to just force myself better!

Had my hen party this weekend. It was totally awesome!! Did a fairy tale murder mystery on the Friday evening. I was Little Bo Peep, the dog was my sheep (my sheep dog!!) and my father played Gretel, he was amazing. I laughed until my cheeks ached!

Then on the Saturday we went for my bridesmaids to have their final fittings for their dresses and they looked stunning.

After that we played silly games and did a quiz. Everyone then made me the dress and flowers below. Then we went out for an Indian and after that to a comedy gig. It was a fabulous evening.

Sunday morning we went to do the York cat trail and then all had lunch out in the city center. In the evening me and my uni friends ended up watching Disney films.

Utterly amazing weekend! Now I have a couple of really busy weeks but I have next weekend free :D
